Abstrakt: Příspěvek seznamuje s výzkumem postojů ·studentů učitelství k učitelské profesi na základě sledování jejich motivace a vlivů při volbě studia učitelství. Dotazníkové šetření k tomuto tématu proběhlo na Pedagogické fakultě MU v Brně najaře 2006. Jedním z cílů výzkumu bylo srovnání postojů dnešních studentů a studentů, kteří se o studium učitelství zajímali před více než třiceti lety. Za tím účelem byl přitvorbě dotazníku částečně využit materiál z výzkumu, který proběhl mezi uchazeči o studium učitelství v roce 1973 (vedoucí týmu M. Klímová). Srovnání výsledků obouvýzkumů nám může dát, mimo jiné, odpověď na otázku, zda postoje budoucích učitelů k profesi zůstávají stejné, i když se učiteli stávají v jiných společenských podmínkách.

Title: Motives to becoming a teacher in the past and today
Abstract: The paper repmts on a survey of future teachers’ attitudes to the teaching profession based on the observation of their motivation and influences when decidingto study for teachers. The survey was carried out at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno in the spring of 2006. One of the aims of the survey was to comparethe attitudes of present-day students with the attitudes of those, who studied tobecome teachers more than thirty years ago. Data from a survey carried out among prospective teachers in 1973 (M. Klímová et al) were used. Comparing the results ofthese two surveys may answer the question whether the attitudes towards the teaching profession remain the same, even though the social conditions have changed considerably.
