Abstrakt: Autorky ve své práci řeší problematiku současného pojetí kurikula a rámcovýchvzdělávacích programů, osobnosti učitele tělesné výchovy a jeho profesníchkompetencí, strukturu kompetencí, které jsou aktuální v dnešním časovém hledisku.Sdělení dále prezentuje názory učitelů z praxe na významnost některých kompetencí,získávané v učitelském studiu tělesné výchovy, které mají rozhodující vliv na učitelskoupraxi a na rozvoj učitelovy osobnosti.

Title: Physical Educator Competencies
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to find out and describe the key competencies ofphysical educators in Czech schools. The education in the Czech Republic is goingthrough big changes, conventional school programs are replaced by “frame educationalprograms”, which are very demanding as regards the teachers’ creativity and theircompetencies. The author deals with the issue of the contemporary concept of thecurriculum and frame educational programs, the personality of a Physical Trainingeducator and his/her professional competencies, the structure of competence topical inthe present time perspective. The article also comments on the importance ofpedagogical training in the course of teachers’ university.
