Title: Chosen Ambiguities of ICT-Related Learning in Youth
Abstract: The aim of the paper is to describe and explain the chosen ambiguities in the use ICT by 15-year-old pupils in school and out-of-school and at the same time to discuss the impacts of these ambiguities on education of youth. The fact, that ICT are increasingly important part of daily life, is reflected not only by education policy, but also by schools, and by learning of pupils (Zounek et al., 2018). However, this paper shows findings about ambiguous treatment of ICT in the school and family. We used focus group interviews with 9th grade pupils and case studies of 9th grade pupils. Data collection techniques were semi-structured interviews with parents, pupils and weekly records of pupil activities. All techniques focused on mapping the ways in which pupils use ICT at and outside of school. The ambiguities is already in view of pupils who are not necessarily „digital natives“ or proficient ICT users.
