Abstrakt: Hlavním cílem příspěvku je poukázat na potenciál a význam obsahů nelingvistických disciplín, která může být využita pro výuku gramatiky, podporu čtení a poslechu s porozuměním v cizím jazyce. Na základě provedené studie mezi učiteli cizích jazyků jsme sledovali jejich názory na zakomponování nelingvistických disciplín do výuky cizích jazyků a jejich dalšího možného rozvoje ve vyučovacím procesu.

Title: Foreign Language Teachers and their Relationship to the Contents of Non-linguistic Disciplines
Abstract: Foreign language teaching is one of the interdisciplinary sciences and its topics currently being discussed include the topic of cultural studies and cultural education. The main aim of the paper is to point out the potential and importance of contents of non-linguistic disciplines, which can be used for teaching grammar, supporting reading and listening comprehension in a foreign language. Based on a study conducted by foreign language teachers, we have followed their views on incorporating contents of non-linguistic disciplines into foreign language teaching and their further development in the teaching process. It is becoming increasingly difficult for teachers to motivate today’s students and pupils. That is why we see precisely in the contents of nonlinguistic disciplines one of the possible forms of motivation for pupils and students, which can also support their internal motivation.
