Abstrakt: Cílem příspěvku je představit výzkumné horizonty vzdělávání k informační gramotnosti v současném školním prostředí se zaměřením na rozvoj a podporu demokracie. Klíčovými aspekty jsou jednak faktory učitelova pojetí výuky informační gramotnosti, jednak spolupráce učitele a učícího knihovníka, konečně příležitosti, které školnímu prostředí nabízí pro rozvoj demokratických principů instituce veřejné knihovny.

Title: Information literacy as a tool to support democracy in today’s school: research horizons
Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the research horizons of education to information literacy in the school environment and to focus on aspects of development and support of democracy. Significant research variables are the teacher’s concept of teaching information literacy and the fact that this concept can be co-created by the public library. The collaboration of school and public library reflects the community of teachers and librarians practice. The research is realized as a valued, mixed design. It uses self-reflective evaluation reports of teachers and librarians, linked with the evaluation questionnaire focused on the process and goal of educational activities for the development of information literacy of pupils. The research results show the positive impact of the community of teachers and librarians‘ practice on shaping or reforming the teacher’s teaching of information literacy in educational content and teaching methods.
