Prototypový charakter expertnosti: ilustrace životními příběhy a komplexními „profily“ učitelů

Sekce 4: Učitelé a jiní pedagogičtí pracovníci

Title: PROTOTYPE CHARACTER OF EXPERTISE: ILLUSTRATIONS OF LIFE STORIES AND COMPLEX „PROFILES“ OF TEACHERS

Abstract: The contribution presents selected results of comprehensive research focused on expertise among teachers carried out under the GACR project P407 / l 1 / 0234 „Teacher expert: its characteristics and determinants of professional development (against the background of foreign language teaching).“ In particular, data obtained from multiple case studies will be presented, which support a prototype view of the character of expertise in teachers. Research was built to take into account both the available knowledge of expertise (Ericsson et al., 2006) and the results of the teacher’s effectiveness research (e.g. Hattie, 2009). However, he also took into account other initiatives such as a prototype view of the expertise of teachers (Stemberg & Horvath, 1995). The presentation summarises some of the research results that he built on the design of a comprehensive multiple case study. The results are presented in the form of so-called portraits, which work with data obtained through the observation of teaching, semi-structured interviews, stimulated equipping and other research procedures, and illustrated as so-called life stories of teachers presenting data from in-depth interviews. · Results can be interpreted with support of the prototype model of teacher expertise (Stemberg & Horvath, 1995). Rather than identifying the characteristics that would be decisive for the expertise of foreign language teachers, the results can be used to illustrate the different forms of expertise that can be acquired in terms of the characteristics pursued.
