Abstrakt: Cílem příspěvku je poskytnout přehled o tom, co a jak se zkoumá v empirických studiích zaměřených na hodnocení v práci ředitelů škol. Příspěvek se snaží najít odpovědi na následující výzkumné otázky: a) Jak je hodnocení využíváno řediteli základních škol? b) Jaká teoretická východiska obsahují studie?

Title: EVALUATION IN THE WORK OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS: A REVIEW STUDY
Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide an overview of what is being researched, theoretical background of studies and how the evaluation in work of principals is surveyed. The review study is trying to find answers to these following research questions: a) How is evaluation used by elementary school principals? b) What is the theoretical context of the studies? A database ERIC and a Web of Science have been used in order to gain information for the survey. There were found 47 research surveys. Mostly, these surveys have been published in the last eight years, and data were obtained mainly in the USA. Theoretical background of studies are theoretical models from educational evaluation, educational leadership and human resources management. In order to obtain research goals and to find answers to research questions, a diverse spectrum of research questions have been used: quantitative, qualitative, mixed design and an analysis of obtained data.
