Nástrojem sběru dat byl hloubkový rozhovor s narativními prvky, následovala fáze komunikační validizace a prohlubování vhledu do životních příběhů respondentů prostřednictvím dialogické písemné formy. Stěžejní objektivní determinanty zahrnovaly institucionální rovinu vlivu prostředí a dále individuální vlivy (profesní vzory, podpora poskytovaná kolegou apod.) a vlivy profesní komunity. V souboru subjektivních determinant hrálo významnou roli sebepoznání učitele, zakotvené v sebereflexi, zájem o práci s dětmi i zájem o obor a zároveň reflektovanou důslednost a vytrvalost při naplňování stanovených cílů.

Title: DETERMINANTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE EXPERTISE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS

Abstract: In 20112013, research was carried out on the characteristics of the expert teacher supported by the grant of the GAČR P40711-0234 Teachers: his characteristics and determinants of professional development (against the background of foreign language teaching). In the third part, we looked at the expertise of foreign language teachers in diachronous ways, and the contribution brings the partial results of data analysis from this phase, which was intended to analyse the processes and conditions of the development and maintenance of expertise. When examining the determinant of the development of the expertise of foreign language teachers, we focused on selected variables that relate to the personality and individual characteristics of the teacher, as well as the variables related to the institutional and socio-cultural context of his work. In this sense, we followed Fessler and Christensen (1992) and Huberman (1993). For analysis we used the conceptualization according to Paris (1994), i.e. division into subjective and objective determinants of professional development. Research was designed as qualitative. The data collection tool was an in-depth interview with the narrative elements, followed by a phase of communication validation and deepening insight into the life stories of respondents through a dialogue written form. That data collection procedure is based on the principles of biographic research (Marotzki, 2006; Felden, 2008). A type of realistic or neopositivistic biography (Miller, 2000) was used for the identification of the determinant. Professional development of teachers is influenced by both objective and subjective determinants. The core objective determinants included the institutional level of environmental impact, as well as individual influences (professional models, support provided by a colleague, etc.) and the effects of the professional community. In the set of subjective determinants, the self-knowledge of teachers, enshrined in self-reflection, the interest in working with children and the interest in the field, as well as reflected consistency and endurance in meeting the stated goals, played an important role.
