Abstrakt: Cílem přehledové studie je zjistit, do jaké míry je dítě vyrůstající v bilingvním prostředí schopno využívat slovní zásobu daného jazyka. Přehledová studie má také poskytnout přehled o zahraničních studiích zabývajících se specifiky lexikální složky řeči bilingvních a monolingvních dětí předškolního věku.

Title: Lexical Level of Bilingual Children in Preschool Age
Abstract: This study is focused on research dealing with the level and extent of the vocabulary of bilingual children in the preschool age and their ability to understand verbal communication in their particular language. These studies were published by foreign researchers interested in the topic of bilingualism. The research included in this systematic review took place in the period from 2001 to 2015 with the use of a standardized language test. The final results of bilingual children were compared with those of monolingual children. Only slight differences were found between the vocabulary of bilingual and monolingual children and their ability to react verbally. Finally, the systematic review study pointed out the various opinions of experts on the topic of bilingualism, and they motivate further research dealing with the lexical level of bilingualism.
