Abstrakt: Příspěvek se zaměřuje na jeden dílčí aspekt komplexní problematiky přípravného vzdělávání učitelů a jeho probíhajících. proměn, a to na podporu profesního rozvoje budoucích učitelů zejména v průběhu pedagogické praxe. Pozornostje věnována roli mentora (fakultního učitele), konkrétně strategiím a technikám využívaným k facilitaci profesního růstu studentů.

Title: Facilitating professional development in student teachers: strategies and techniques
Abstract: Pre-graduate teacher education represents a complex and multidimensional issue. Within the context of its ongoing change the presentation aims to contribute tothe current discussion. Closer attention is paid specifically to one partial aspect – the support of trainees’ professional development predominantly during the teaching practice focusing on the role of mentor (teaching practice supervisor) and the strategies and techniques deployed to facilitate professional growth in trainees.
