Abstrakt: Cílem posterové prezentace je představit výzkumný projekt zkoumající použití testových strategií v testech poslechu u zkoušek jazykové úrovně z angličtiny dle STANAG 6001. Tento projekt zkoumá, které testové strategie kandidáti používají a souvislosti tohoto použití s dalšími proměnnými, například s výsledky zkoušky, jazykovou úrovní kandidátů, či úrovní testu.

Title: Test-Taking Strategies Employed by Students of English in Listening Tests
Abstract: This poster presentation deals with a research project focusing on test-taking strategies which STANAG 6001 language exam candidates employ when taking the English listening test, and the relation of the strategies used to a wider field of variables (test performance, proficiency level), as well as on test-taking strategies supported by teachers. The research is multi-method in design, semi-structured interviews with exam candidates and teachers are used alongside a questionnaire to collect data. Analyses show that in the minds of the students, learner listening strategies and test-taking strategies seem to be closely interconnected, which requires careful analysis of the interviews. Preliminary results also show that level 2 candidates appear to be using the widest array of test-management strategies, and especially test-wiseness strategies.
