Abstrakt: Příspěvek se zaměřuje na adaptaci žáků z Ukrajiny na 1. stupni základních škol z perspektivy učitelů se zvláštním důrazem na faktory ovlivňující jejich školní docházku. Cílem výzkumu bylo identifikovat konkrétní situace, které mohou představovat bariéry pravidelné docházky, a popsat souvislosti mezi těmito bariérami a adaptačním procesem. Empirická část vychází z kvalitativního šetření realizovaného prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s deseti učitelkami. Výsledky ukazují, že bariéry docházky nejsou primárně spojeny s nezájmem o vzdělávání, ale souvisejí s kumulací faktorů, jako je jazyková náročnost výuky, psychosociální zátěž, nestabilní rodinné podmínky či souběžná účast v ukrajinském vzdělávacím systému. Studie přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění souvislostem mezi docházkou a adaptací žáků s migrační zkušeností.

Title: ADAPTATION OF PUPILS FROM UKRAINE IN PRIMARY EDUCATION FROM TEACHERS’ PERSPECTIVE
Abstract: The paper focuses on the adaptation of pupils from Ukraine in primary education from the perspective of teachers, with particular emphasis on factors influencing their school attendance. The aim of the study was to identify specific situations that may constitute barriers to regular attendance and to describe the relationships between these barriers and the adaptation process. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews with ten primary school teachers. The findings indicate that attendance barriers are not primarily related to a lack of interest in education, but rather to a cumulative effect of factors such as the linguistic demands of instruction, psychosocial stress, unstable family conditions, and simultaneous participation in the Ukrainian education system. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of the relationship between school attendance and the adaptation of pupils with a migration background.
