Title: Form of study as a possible predictor of academic achievement

Abstract: Academic achievement is one of the most widely used terms in foreign research in university education and its indicators are most often considered grades and average (Cotti, Gordanier, Ozturk, 2018). The aim of this contribution is to present academic achievement in a broader way than is commonly said. Another aim is to find out whether there is a significant relationship between the form of study and academic achievement. The research sample consists of 640 university students. For the above following research methods will be used: Olomouc Questionnaire of Academic Achievement (AAQ). Data were analyzed in SPSS 20 using descriptive statistics and t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. The T test examining the difference in academic achievement between the two groups showed that full-time students have a higher academic achievement value, but due to poor correlation, it cannot be unequivocally said that the choice of full-time study always means university academic achievement.
