Abstrakt: Příspěvek se zaměřuje na chování studentů v rámci systému pro řízení výuky (LMS), specificky pak na interakci studentů v průběhu plnění různých typů online testů. Hlavním cílem příspěvku je prezentovat výsledky realizované studie, která zkoumala možnosti využití metod proces miningu pro detekci specifických způsobů chování studentů při plnění různých typů testů v rámci LMS Moodle. Sekundárním cílem příspěvku je průzkum toho, jaké typy chování studentů mohou být s pomocí těchto metod odhaleny a jak častý je výskyt těchto typů chování studentů. Využití LMS se stalo prakticky již standardem na většině vysokoškolských institucí. V České republice LMS či VLE využívají všechny vysoké školy s výjimkou škol umělecky zaměřených (Poulová, 2010). Až do nedávné doby však zůstávaly tyto výukové systémy (LMS/VLE) v určitém ohledu černými skříňkami. Ačkoli ve většině případů tyto systémy automaticky shromažďují a ukládají informace o jejich používání v podobě záznamů na serveru či v databázi systému, jen ojediněle bývají tato data využívána pro účely výzkumu, či systematicky využívána v rámci instituce. Výraznější změna nastala teprve v posledních letech spolu s rozvojem výzkumných oblastí označovaných jako educational data mining a learning analytics (Juhaňák & Zounek, 2016). Značný potenciál těchto metod tkví mimo jiné právě v tom, že nám umožňují otevřít onu černou skříňku a „nahlédnout“, jak vlastně učení v online vzdělávacích prostředích reálně probíhá. V tomto výzkumu využíváme exploratorní metody process miningu za účelem mapování chování studentů v průběhu plnění vybraných online testů různých typů. Process mining označuje sadu metod a technik zaměřujících se na extrakci znalostí týkajících se procesů z tzv. logů, které jsou běžně ukládány v různých LMS (Pechenizkiy et al, 2009; Trčka et al, 2010). Process mining je proto možné použít, kdykoli lze určitou sekvenci aktivit chápat jakožto výsledek nějakého procesu s vlastní vnitřní strukturou (Reimann & Yacef, 2013). V tomto případě je oním procesem vyplňování online testu studentem. Výsledky prezentovaného výzkumu naznačují, že je možné využít metody proces miningu pro analýzu chování studentů v LMS Moodle v průběhu plnění online testů. Využitím metod proces miningu rovněž umožňuje jednak odlišit standardní chování studentů při plnění online testů od nestandardního chování, jednak také identifikovat různé typy nestandardního chování studentů při plnění online testů.

Title: USE THE METHODS OF PROCESS MINING FOR ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS IN THE ONLINE EDUCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract: The contribution focuses on the behaviour of students in the LMS system, specifically on the interaction of students during the performance of various types of online tests. The main aim of the contribution is to present the results of the completed study which examined the possibilities of using the mining process methods to detect specific ways of behaviour of students in performing different types of tests within the LMS Moodle. The secondary objective of the contribution is to explore what types of student behaviour can be detected using these methods and how frequent the occurrence of these types of student behaviour is. The use of LMS has become virtually standard for most higher education institutions. In the Czech Republic, LMS or VLE are used by all higher education institutions except art schools (Poulová, 2010). Until recently, however, these teaching systems (LMS / VLE) remained black lockers in some respects. Although in most cases these systems automatically collect and store information about their use in the form of records on a server or system database, these data are rarely used for research purposes or systematically used within an institution. A more significant change has only occurred in recent years, along with the development of research areas known as educational data mining and learning analytics (Juhanek & Zounek, 2016). Among other things, the considerable potential of these methods is that they allow us to open the black box and „see“ how learning in online learning environments actually takes place. In this research, we use explosive process mining methods to map students‘ behavior during the performance of selected online tests of different types. Process mining refers to a set of methods and techniques aimed at extracting knowledge related to processes from so-called logs that are normally stored in different LMS (Pechenizkie et al, 2009; Trčka et al, 2010). The process mining can therefore be used whenever a sequence of activities can be understood as a result of some process with its own internal structure (Reimann & Yacef, 2013). In this case, the process of completing the online test is a student. The results of the presented research indicate that it is possible to use the mining process to analyze students‘ behavior in LMS Moodle during the course of the online tests. By using methods, the mining process also allows for a distinction between standard behaviour of students in performing online tests and non-standard behaviour, as well as identifying different types of non-standard behaviour of students in performing online tests.
