„Mobilní technologie jsou stále více všudypřítomné a propojené, s rozšířenými možnostmi bohatých sociálních interakcí, povědomí o kontextu a propojení skrze internet“ (Naismith et al., 2004).

Title: MOTIFICATION AND TESTING OF PEDAGOGIC WORKERS FOR EDUCATION TABLETS

Abstract: The main objective of research is to analyse the use of tablets in teaching and education of pupils with special educational needs in the conditions of the current Czech school. In the present contribution we will focus on two sub-sections of research devoted to the motivation of teaching staff for the active use of new technology tablets in education while working with pupils with special educational needs. In the second part, we will focus on the experience of teachers using tablets in education. „Mobile technologies are increasingly ubiquitous and interconnected, with extended possibilities of rich social interactions, awareness of context and Internet connections“ (Naismith et al., 2004). Attention is gradually passed on from the effort to make content available to the integration and alignment of mobile technologies across education (Specht, M. 2009). The increasing representation of tablets in a number of professions, including education, underlines the current nature of the topic. Thanks to the simplicity of touch control, size and high mobility of tablets, it breaks down a number of frequent problems. The user can carry the device permanently and use the wide range of functions and areas he offers (Watts, L., Brennan, S., Phelps. R. 2012; cf. Gros, M. 2012; Rahman, S. 2012). Touch technology in education offers the use not only of pupils, but also of teachers in all courses of education, fields of pedagogical work and degrees from maternity, through primary, secondary and university schools (Gajzler, L. 2014, Kostolany, K., Klubal, L., Gybas, V. 2016). The research was developed by a qualitative approach, a technique of semi-structured conversation using pre-prepared questions, supplemented by current findings and suggestions from informants. Interviews have been anonymized. The empirical investigation had the character of purposeful (deliberate) selection, using the choice of critical cases and using the snowball technique. 13 informants from different counties were approached. An open coding technique was used for processing, further segmentation into analytical units followed by axial coding. The most important relationships between the codes were shown in the schematics. The analysis of interviews showed nine basic categories where the most powerful motivational element for teachers was the new possibilities / impulses that the tablet brings to the teaching (adding teaching materials, using applications…). A strong element of motivation is the use of the tablet as a helper offering a wide range and content of use. The experience of informants is very different from the point of view of time, they coincided in seven basic areas. The focus was mainly on the conditions of efficient use, the area of special educational needs, the range of applications. Last but not least, they mentioned a number of the disadvantages and pitfalls they face.
