Abstrakt: Hlavním cílem je představit téma akademické a sociální integrace studentů do studia na vysoké škole. Dílčím cílem je představit šíři v jaké je o téma akademické a sociální integrace studentů do studia na vysoké škole zájem v pedagogické výzkumné obci na základě detailní rešerše dostupných výzkumů. Druhým dílčím cílem je pak blíže představit výzkumnou tendenci českých a zahraničních studií pojednávajících o daném tématu, a sice z hlediska metodologie, cílů, výsledků atd.

Title: ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Abstract: As the Czech higher education is in the universal phase, we have to face a variety of new entrants. These new entrants have different preconditions (e.g. sense of integration into a new social environment). Tinto (1975) divides the integration process into academic and social integration. The integration process influences students’ achievement besides other things. If a student’s integration process is not successful, a student is more likely to fail during the final exams at the end of the first semesters. Therefore it is connected to the early school leavers’ topic. The main goal of this paper is to present the theoretical framework of academic and social integration topic, based on Czech and foreign literature and research studies. Based on that there will be created a review, which will combine narrative and integrative review styles (Mareš, 2016). Owing to the review research gap will be identified, as well as an outline of the methodology of own doctoral proposal.
