Abstrakt: Stať mapuje úroveň výkonové motivace u žáků Gymnázia a analyzuje pohled učitelů na motivaci svých žáků. Vzhledem ke stanoveným cílům bylo využito výhod triangulace metod kvalitativního a kvantitativního zkoumání. Pro kvantitativní sběr dat byl použit nástroj MV-6 pro měření výkonové motivace pro studenty, dotazník pro autodiagnostiku učitele dle Hrabala a Pavelkové. Rozhovor s vybranými žáky byl zvolen jako nástroj kvalitativního šetření. Výsledky šetření poukázaly na fakt, že výkonová motivace žáků sledovaných gymnázií není vysoká. Průměrná potřeba úspěšného výkonu se ukázala pouze v jedné sledované třídě, ostatní třídy měli potřebu úspěšného výkonu nízkou. Učitelé úroveň motivace u sledovaných tříd hodnotili s různou úspěšností s projevující se tendencí k nadhodnocování orientace k úspěšnému výkonu. Z analýzy rozhovorů vyplynulo, že s úrovní výkonu souvisí nejen práce učitele při výuce, ale dále sociální klima a atmosféra ve třídě.

Title: Analysis of achievement motivation of grammar school students
Abstract: The article briefly describes chosen research projects in the area of school motivation. In more detail the research maps the level of achievement motivation of students of Grammar school. The research also mapped the possibilities of autodiagnostic tools for teacher in area of achievement motivation. The research made use the advantage of triangulation methods of qualitative and quantitative research. For quantitative data collection was used MI-6 questionnaire for measuring achievement motivation for students, teachers questionnaire for self-diagnostics according Hrabal and Pavelkova. Interview with selected students was chosen as a tool for qualitative research. Results of the survey highlighted the fact that the achievement motivation of students studied grammar is not high. Level of motivation among teachers observed classes evaluated with varying success with manifesting a tendency to overestimate the orientation for successful performance. The analysis of the interviews showed that the level of performance is related not only work of teachers in the classroom, but also the social climate and atmosphere in the classroom.
