Abstrakt: Popsat současný stav systému péče o děti v dětských domovech v České republice v kontextu přípravy na jejich samostatný život. Vymezit proces přípravy dětí na odchod z dětských domovů do samostatného života i s jejími specifiky. Zjistit subjektivní pohled dospívajících na připravenost na odchod z dětského domova.

Title: Comprehensive view of the issue of social integration of individuals leaving institutional care in order to become independent
Abstract: Children who have been living in institutional care for a long time have problems in the psychological and social areas. Research goals are describe and define the process of preparing children to leave children’s homes in independent life and with its specifics and find out the subjective view of adolescents on their readiness to leave the children’s home. The research was conducted in two quantitative phases. Research tools were questionnaires. The data were evaluated descriptively and subsequently verified by statistical processing of hypotheses. For example, non-profit organizations and support programs help to socialize individuals. A participatory educational approach is also a proven approach. The effectiveness of the whole process is negatively influenced, for example, by the contact of the child with the biological family. Clients themselves are particularly concerned about finding work, housing and financial matters. Obtained data were also compared to self efficacy clients.
