Výběr a následné ověřování prekonceptů (respektive miskonceptů) probíhá formou interview s žáky a jejich učiteli; zjišťování obtížnosti geografických témat pak formou dotazníku. Posterový příspěvek představí především metodiku a dílčí výsledky výzkumu (pilotní šetření mezi žáky a učiteli).

Title: OCCURRENCE OF MISCONCEPTION DEPENDING ON THE DIFFICULTY OF THE SUBSTANCE IN GEOGRAPHYRESEARCH POSSIBILITIES

Abstract: The presented poster points to the possibilities of research by midwives in the teaching of geography in the Czech Republic. The aim is to verify the pupil’s concept of selected phenomena related to the occurrence of misconception (misconception) and then reveal the frequency of these misconception according to the difficulty of the substance in geography. Misconcepts are the most often confronted by rigid children’s concepts of the phenomena of the outside world (preconceptions) with the concepts of newly acquired (school, family, media, etc.). Misucepts may be the result of a false or incomplete understanding of the relationship between concepts or the highlighting of irrelevant characters. The process of reorganising existing knowledge is complicated and successful if the pupil is dissatisfied with his or her existing concepts and if he or she is offered an understandable alternative concept, which would seem more appropriate. Research focuses on the verification of selected pupils‘ preconceptions in the teaching of geography, with a link to the occurrence of miscaptions. The aim of the research is to detect the frequency of misconception depending on the difficulty of the substance in geography. The selection and subsequent verification of preconceptions (respectively misconception) takes place by interview with pupils and their teachers; the identification of the difficulty of geographical topics in the form of a questionnaire. In particular, the post-school contribution will present the methodology and partial research results (pilot enquiries between pupils and teachers).
