Abstrakt: Hlavní cíl příspěvku spočívá v analýze aktuálních pedagogických přístupů k dětem do 6 let, kdy se na příkladu několika alternativních pedagogických teorií snaží poukázat na různé způsoby, jak lze přistupovat k rozvíjení charakteru dětí dané věkové kategorie.

Title: Developing the character of children 0-6 years in modern pedagogical approaches
Abstract: Currently, when raising their children, parents can choose from a wide range of pedagogical approaches. The common denominator of these approaches is the versatile and harmonious development of the individual. This paper deals with an essential component of a child’s development, namely the development of the children under the age of six years. The paper also explores how this is presented in the current literature available, mainly in the Czech language. The starting point used in this article is a survey from 2018 which showed 8 pedagogical approaches that were the most common. The development of the character of children under the age of 6 years is illustrated by five key components: social development, motivation and a system of punishments and rewards and work with error. The partial aim of the paper is also to give an overview of the literature available which focuses on the theory and practice of these pedagogical approaches.
