Title: Diagnostics of Development Potential of Managers
Abstract: The topic of the paper is theoretical argumentation for andragogic diagnostics of development potential of employees in managerial positions. The two main features of this group are the position in the organizational structure and the length of practice as a manager. The main source will be the theoretical approaches of S. Brookfield and S. Epstein. There are two theoretical levels of identifying development potential: 1) Brookfield’s concept of adult learning, which is based on respecting the developmental stage of an adult in the field of experience and knowledge. 2) Epstein’s concept of adult learning, which is based on the personality assumption of the potential to receive and fix new information. The aim of the paper will be to deduce from these theoretical concepts the strategy of andragogical diagnostics of development potential of managers.
Keywords: Development diagnostics, manager development, self-directed learning, experience, critical reflection, experiential learning
