Abstrakt: V historické vědě se rozvinula diskuse o tzv. normalizaci (Kolář & Pullmann, 2016) po sovětské intervenci v roce 1968, mimo jiné s ohledem na myšlenkovou a personální kontinuitu/změnu mezi reformním obdobím šedesátých let a následující dekádou. Tato studie přispívá do diskuse analýzou dobové vzdělávací politiky a konkrétněji tvorby kurikula. Navazujeme při tom na naše předchozí příspěvky o vlivu zahraničních reforem na českou vzdělávací politiku v době socialismu.

Title: Curricular Reform in Late Communist Czechoslovakia: Breaking with the Prague Spring Ideas, or Hidden Continuity?
Abstract: The complexity of curriculum making could be analysed by juxtaposing different narratives of/about the processes in different arenas at the various levels (Mikser & Goodson, 2020). The paper analyses the curricular reform of 1960s and 1970s in Czechoslovakia. The dominant narratives about the “Prague Spring” and its aftermath focus on two levels: supra-level (the story of interrupted revolution) and individual (work-life) narrations (e.g. Zounek et al., 2017). Taking into account that reforms usually take place on more layers or sites than either at government or in individual schools, there are other stories to be told about the mezzo-level of curriculum development. This study is based on the archival sources on the Czechoslovak reforms as well as on analysis of curricular artefacts and discourse of official press. Our goal is to challenge the prevailing picture of discontinuity in curriculum making while acknowledging the radical change in legitimising discourse of the reform.
