Abstrakt: Cílem příspěvku je představit multimodální konverzační analýzu a na vybraných ukázkách ilustrovat její relevanci pro výzkum interakce ve třídě. Konkrétně bude pozornost věnována problematice přepisu nahrávky (vč. představení různých transkripčních konvencí) a analýze, zejména pak roli vybraných jazykových, tělesných a materiálních prostředků v interakci.

Title: Methodological aspects of multimodal conversation analysis and its relevance for research in classroom interaction
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss the nature of multimodal conversation-analytic research in the field of classroom interaction. On selected data extracts I will present the transcription conventions, the complex interplay of language, embodied and material resources that speakers employ in interaction as well as the sequential and situated nature of this type of research. I will also illustrate the nature of findings that this type of research may produce. The paper concludes by highlighting the import of multimodal conversation analysis in classroom interaction research.
