Sekce 2 – Výchova a vzdělávaný jedinec

Abstrakt: Práce se zabývá ochotou komunikovat ve výuce cizího jazyka a jejím cílem je získat údaje o tom, do jaké míry jsou studenti na vysoké škole ochotni komunikovat v cizím jazyce ve výuce, a jaké motivy uvádějí pro komunikaci s učitelem. Předmětem výzkumu je také obava z komunikace v cizím jazyce. Budu zjišťovat, zda studenti pociťují při komunikaci v cizím jazyce obavy, a pokud ano, v jaké míře a v jakém vztahu je tato obava k ochotě komunikovat v cizím jazyce. Záměr výzkumu bude realizován se studenty Centra jazykové přípravy Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně.

Title: The level of willingness to communicate in a foreign language during classes with undergraduates
Abstract: The study aims to examine the relationship among students´ motives to communicate with teachers, foreign language anxiety and willingness to communicate. It endeavours to identify more specifically the sources of foreign language anxiety. The research is divided into quantitative and qualitative part. The quantitative part provides data for statistical analysis gathered via the use of three scales, i.e. Willingness to communicate scale (MacIntyre, Clément, Dörney & Noes, 1998), Foreign language classroom anxiety scale (Horwitz, Horwitz & Cope, 1986) and Interpersonal communication motive scale (Martin, Myers & Mottet, 1999). A semi-structured interview follows the quantitative part to obtain more detailed information on students´ perspectives of their participation on classroom communication.
