Samozřejmě není možné, aby veškeré hodiny zeměpisu probíhaly mimo školní budovu, ale učitelé by terénní výuku měli do učebních plánů řadit co nejvíce.

Title: POTENTIAL USE OF QR CODES IN GEOGRAPHICAL EDUCATION

Abstract: The aim of the contribution is to analyse the potential of the use of QR code in the teaching of geography at primary school based on the results of the probe among teachers who have completed the model teaching using QR codes based on the BOYD („bring your own device“) principle. Geography is an object that studies the landscape and examines relationships between natural and social phenomena. The teaching of geography should therefore be the most natural and effective in the field, as evidenced by many Czech and foreign research. For example, Quasničák (2013) has shown a positive effect of field teaching on the knowledge and attitudes of pupils as well as Mygind (2009), which, in addition to the benefits of learning, has shown an increase in pupil activity. In fact, there is also the fact that it introduces movement into the teaching. The non-healthy lifestyle of pupils is currently the current topic, which is confirmed by the international study HSBC (2014). Of course, it is not possible for all geography classes to take place outside the school building, but teachers should include as much field teaching as possible in their curriculum. The pupil remembers much more what he experiences or does. One means of supporting pupils‘ interest in geography and movement is the use of suitable applications on smart mobile devices (So 2011; Neumajer 2014 and). These include QR code. Rikala & Kankaanranta (2012) found that planning activities with QR codes is challenging for teachers, especially when they are not familiar with the methods of working with QR codes. This may also be the reason why QR codes are not used more frequently in the field of education. In addition, there are no examples of how to use QR codes in the educational context. In the first phase of research, the geography teaching activities were prepared for students of geography on school grounds using QR codes. In the second phase, the activity was carried out and after its implementation the research probe was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey, which was intended to identify, for example, the difficulty of working with QR codes, the attractiveness and benefits of the activity, its advantages, disadvantages and the risks of implementation. The questionnaire contained 22 questions, 14 of which were closed or assessed using a scale, 8 of which were open. 53 questionnaires were combined. Most of the geography teachers who tested the concept of QR-code teaching had worked with QR codes for the first time in their lives. Working with the codes seemed easy to them, but at the same time attractive, and she approached some students enough that they would sometimes like to use it in their own teaching with pupils at primary school. Students are aware of a number of advantages and disadvantages when working with QR codes, including technical complications that may occur.
