Při identifikování PVS vycházíme z problémově orientovaného učení (Problem-based learning).

Title: SPECIFICATIONS OF PROBLEMICAL EDUCATION SITUATIONS IN NATURAL SCIENTIFIC (1) STUFF

Abstract: The contribution has three objectives: (1) summarise how problem teaching situations are represented; (2) describe the implementation of problem-oriented situations (phases 2, 3 and 4), from the point of view of conversion analysis; and (3) describe the specificity of the inclusion of problem learning situations in teaching. Our research focuses on the competence to solve problems that are developed by problem-oriented tasks (POU), in the teaching of science. When analyzing tasks, their context must also be considered, so we see them as part of teaching situations. The teaching situation containing POU is called the problem learning situation (hereinafter PVS). When identifying the PVS, we are based on problem-based learning. Based on study research (e.g. Schmidt, 1983; Torp & Sage, 2002 etc.) We distinguish 8 phases of PVS. These phases are presented as part of a theoretical model representing the didactic application of traditional problem solving and we are more closely concerned with F2, especially its organisation. The interaction in the class has specific rules, e.g. the pupil must not speak without the teacher’s invitation (e.g. McHoul, 1978) and the IRF structure (Sinclair, & Coulthard, 1975) is common. However, it may be different in the teaching of science (e.g. Chin, 2006). The research sample is 10 videos of science (5 classes, in each 2 recordings) taken during the IVŠV video study in 2011. A structured non-participating observation based on a categorized system based on a description of phases of the PPP was used for the analysis. Descriptive statistics are used to describe the results of the PPP representation in the teaching. Conversion analysis (Ten Have, 2007) is used for research into the organisation of problem-oriented situations (stages 2, 3 and 4). The unit of analysis is a sequence of communication that corresponds to F2, 3 and 4 PVS. 41 problem-oriented tasks organised in 31 problem learning situations were identified in the research sample. The most represented phases are 1, 2 and 5. Although the problem is only 8% of all tasks, at 6 out of 10 hours the time devoted to the PPP was longer than a quarter. We’ve analysed 12 PVS. The results suggest that the POU solution is close to a debate in which pupils are allowed to respond more to each other, the teacher gives it more time for a separate POT solution and tries to lead them through questions like: What else?
