Abstrakt: Cílem příspěvku je prezentovat přehledovou studii, která posuzuje, analyzuje a sumarizuje výsledky výzkumných šetření za poslední dva roky z oblasti učení a osvojování mandů (dovednosti vyjádřit vlastní potřeby sociálně přijatelným způsobem) u jedinců s poruchou autistického spektra.

Title: Mand Acquisition in Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder: a Literature Review
Abstract: The aim of this study was to review and summarize current research on mands acquisition for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the most effective teaching procedures. Communication skill deficits are a common issue for individuals diagnosed with ASD. The mand, derived from the word „demand“ and often used in reference to making a request, is often the first targeted verbal skill in communication and is considered essential for the further development of verbal behavior. Articles reviewed were found using the Portal of Electronic Resources at Charles University and were based on the following criteria; focus on individuals with ASD, mand acquisition, in either Czech or English language, and published in 2018-2020. The results frequently highlighted the importance of mand development as essential to life skill development. Articles also highlighted functional communication training, and development of communication spontaneity, variability, and independent manding.
