Více kritičtí při hodnocení vlastních ICT znalostí byli studenti oborů jiných než ICT, ženy, absolventi gymnázií a studenti, jejichž matka aktivně využívá ICT. Obdobné využití této techniky chystá výzkumný tým i pro reprezentativní vzorek středoškolských studentů v ČR, o kterém bude též diskutováno.

Title: PROBLEMATIC SOCIAL REQUESTS IN QUESTION INVESTIGATION AND ITS MANAGEMENT OF OVERCLAIMING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: EXAMPLE OF USE IN ICT
Abstract: The contribution has two main objectives. The first aim is to present the so-called overclassification technique, which is a methodological approach used in the questionnaire investigations, which serves to reduce distortions of responses resulting from respondents‘ tendency to respond to socially desirable responses. The second objective is to present the results of a research survey aimed at evaluating ICT’s own knowledge and skills between ICT university students and other disciplines (N = 195) in which overclassification technique was applied. In carrying out the questionnaire investigations, there is a risk that the results obtained will be distorted by a biasem. Bias means that measured differences between respondents do not correspond to their real differences (Volcano, in print). This may jeopardise the accurate comparison of different respondents or groups of respondents and thus lead researchers to erroneous conclusions. One of the major sources of biasu is the so-called socially desirable response, that is to say, the tendency of respondents to be judged more favourably on issues aimed at themselves. Overclaming technique tries to clear the acquired data by this tendency. Overclaming technique requires an assessment of a number of concepts following respondents, while some of them do not exist. This identifies a blending between reality and fiction in self-assessment. Two parameters are essential to the evaluationthe actuation index (the ability to distinguish the actual stimuli from the false ones) and the exaggeration index (the overall tendency to say „yes“). For ICT, we have compiled a questionnaire with existing concepts (e.g. operating memory and extended reality) as well as non-existing concepts (operating port and source coprocessor). Research sample were university students ICT and other disciplines. Students distinguish between existing and non-existent concepts, but more than half claim to have heard of non-existent concepts. ICT students want to show themselves in a better light compared to other students, have high exaggeration index values. Accuracy index is comparable for all fields. More critical in assessing their own ICT knowledge were students of fields other than ICT, women, graduates of gymnastics and students whose mother actively uses ICT. A similar use of this technique is planned by the research team for a representative sample of high school students in the Czech Republic, which will also be discussed.
