Sekce 3: UČITELÉ A JINÍ PEDAGOGIČTÍ PRACOVNÍCI

Hudba a řeč mají mnoho společného.

Title: THE RELATIONS OF STRAIGHT LANGUAGES AND HUDIES

Abstract: The main aim of the contribution is to highlight the relationship of foreign language teacher in the Czech Republic in primary and secondary schools to music based on applied research. Music and speech have a lot in common. Listening training affects the perception of a foreign language and its prozodic properties, which can be very well realized through music. The potential application of music in the teaching of foreign languages is very broad, especially in the level of phonetic and phonological. In the research, the content analysis of foreign language textbooks was used, followed by a questionnaire survey between foreign language teachers and, last but not least, a questionnaire survey between pupils. According to research, it was found that the books of foreign languages used in Czech primary and secondary schools did not use music to a sufficient extent. Another element that negatively affects the position of music in foreign language teaching is teachers themselves, with their negative attitude to music, which is contrary to the wishes of pupils and students.
